Jehovah-jireh in everyday circumstances

I was chatting with a long-time friend today whom I hadn't seen in a while. During the conversation, I was hoping and praying I could provide some cheer and wisdom because of several disheartening situations she's been through recently.

I related that I had seen wonderful, long-lasting results during a very critical stage of my life after I went to God with a more specific prayer than I had normally been praying at that time.

Then, lo and behold, today when I specifically asked God to help out in a small area of my present life, He obliged in a way that couldn't be missed.  But, as many times happens (and as happened in the situation noted above), the result didn't occur the way I thought it would.  What's more, the result brought about a lot more work than I had anticipated.

Nevertheless, the prayer is answered - and God provided.  He is, indeed, Jehovah-jireh (translation:  God will provide).  It's also worth nothing that in both my earlier situation and today's situation, the result was well worth the accompanying "trouble."

God - Father - thank you for caring about every single bit of our lives.
